What we collect, and what we do with it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Red Earth Distributions Pty Ltd, 27 Efficient Drive, Truganina VIC 3029 ("Red Earth", "we", "us"), the Australian distributor of Sabre Optics. Questions about privacy go to [email protected].

What we collect

• Orders: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number and what you bought.
• Enquiries and product registration: the details you type into a form, including product codes, serial numbers and purchase dates.
• Website use: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and cookies that keep your cart and remember your preferences.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are taken by our payment processor on its own secure pages, and we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits of the card.

Why we collect it

• to process, deliver and support your order;
• to register your product and handle warranty claims;
• to answer your questions;
• to send service messages about an order or a product you own;
• to send news and offers, only if you have asked for them, with an unsubscribe link in every message;
• to keep the website secure and improve it.

Who we share it with

We share only what each party needs to do its job: the carrier that delivers your parcel, the payment processor that takes your payment, the platform that hosts this website and our email, and Sabre's product support team where a warranty claim needs it. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Order and warranty records are kept for as long as the warranty may be claimed and as tax law requires. Enquiries are kept for up to two years. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS and access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to cause serious harm we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser; the cart may not work without them.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
